To make your onboarding as smooth as possible, we highly recommend having your branding, domain with a registrar, and DNS provider access ready. For branding, ensure we have the 'working files', usually in SVG, EPS, or AI vector file formats. For your domain and DNS, have the login details available for us to access and make any necessary updates.

What's the timeline for designing and launching a website?

Accepted Answer

Timelines vary based on your website's size and functionality. Generally, our packages take: Kickstarter: 1 week, Professional: 3-4 weeks, Pro-Plus: 4-6 weeks.

Note: Sites might take longer if they require extensive content work like products, services, events, or blog posts. Other aspects like the review of copy content and tone for the benefit of your target demographic can also extend the delivery timeline. In all cases, this will be communicated during our discovery meetings and at each stage throughout development of your new site.

Can I edit the website myself after it's built?

Accepted Answer

You sure can  - CMS platforms like Wix Editor and Squarespace make use of intuitive web builders that will allow you to access your design and make simple changes. Be aware, however, that our packages are for websites designed by a professional using Wix Studio, which is a more complex design tool. As such, you can launch your site editor in 'content mode', which allows you to make soft changes without affecting layouts. Regardless, if you need something changed, added, or updated - we highly recommend you contact us first to see if we can help.

Will my website show up on Google?

Accepted Answer

Yes - once your domain has successfully been connected to your website and your SEO setup is complete, the team at Modemkiller will connect your website to Google via Google Search Console.

DNS stands for Domain Name System. It connects your domain name to your website so people can find you online. If you secure you domain through Modemkiller or are able to provide us access to your existing domain, we’ll handle all the DNS setup for you - so everything works smoothly behind the scenes.

Can you refresh my current website?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! While we often recommend starting fresh, we can definitely refresh your current site. Just share your URL, platform, and main concerns with us. If sticking to your current platform is a must, we'll provide a custom quote.

Do you offer eCommerce or booking features?

Accepted Answer

We certainly do - our Advanced packages include the implementation of vertical scaling apps - these are widgets and apps within the Wix environment that allow for ecommerce products, blogging, bookings, appointments, events, etc. If you're unsure which package you need, contact us and we'll help connect you with the package that's best for you.

I don't have any photos or videos for my website, can you help?

Photography and videography can make all the difference to a website, and don't worry if you can't get your hands on any quality visual content. If you're not happy with what you can capture on your phone, we have two options:
1. We leverage licenced stock imagery, illustrations, and videos to help make your site pop.
2. We connect you with professional videographers, photographers and drone pilots that can provide you with quality, on-brand, and authentic visuals.

Option one is included with the price of your website package.
